Ginkgo 01404
Is a stop frame animation of all the leaves of a Ginkgo Biloba Tree, approximately 9000 leaves which Janne Malmros collected from a tree in London. The individual leaves were photographed and put together into a five minute animation. When played it looks like a butterfly shuttering its wings. The volume of the crow of the tree has been channeled through the lense of Malmros' camera lense into a new media and format.
